Q. What if my EZ Pad arrives damaged?
A. Be sure to inspect your EZ Pad when it arrives. If you see any damage, please photograph both damage to EZ Pad panels and packaging and email to admin@ezpads.com. This allows us to provide the proper response. Q. Why use an EZ Pad? A. The EZ Pad hot tub/spa pad provides a solid level foundation base that evenly distributes the weight of the hot tub. This is required for warranty compliance and for optimal performance of the jets and filtration system. All that is necessary to install the spa platform is a level well-drained area. Q. What is the EZ Pad made of and has it been tested? A. High density polyethylene plastic engineered and third party tested to withstand temperatures from -20° F. to +140° F. and to support up to 5,000 lbs. per sq. foot. NOTE: an 8’ x 8’ spa with 500 gallons of water and 4 to six bathers requires approximately 90 to 120 lbs. per sq. foot load bearing capacity. Q. What are your policies regarding shipping, returns and privacy? A. EZ Pads utilizes PayPal for online transactions to ensure the security of your information. Please see our ![]() ![]() Q. How do I prepare a site for my EZ Pad? A. The key is to provide a level area for the pad that is well drained and not subject to erosion. The EZ Pad is designed to be placed on grass, compacted dirt, sand, gravel, crushed rock, and or decking. The EZ Pad helps increase insulation to the bottom of the spa and minimize spa vibration. See our Surface Preparation Page. Q. How do I maintain my EZ Pad? A. EZ Pads are chemical and mildew resistant, slip resistant and maintenance free. Easy clean up with water and mild soap. Q. How do I route conduit through my EZ Pad? Q. Why is the EZ Pad a better value than competing products? Q. What EZ Pad sizes are available?

Rights and Remedies This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Any dispute between the buyer and EZ Pads pertaining to this warranty may, at the option of the buyer, be resolved in California according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Liability Q. Can the EZ Pad be used for purposes other than spas and hot tubs?
A. EZ Pads are designed for use under hot tubs, spas, and swim spas. Other applications may void the warranty. Q. Can we cut the EZ Pad to make it smaller?
A. We do not recommend cutting the EZ Pad other than drilling a hole for conduit placement. However, we have many customers who have customized their pad size. If you are considering doing this please email us at contact@ezpads.com and describe your application. Q. What are bonding grids - do I have to use them? “BONDING GRID” CONFUSION? - 2011 NEC Exempts Portable Spas The “equipotential bonding grid “in the National Electric Code is a subject that surprises many consumers when planning electrical installations. For this reason we are providing you with a PDF of the latest news found in the Pool and Spa News archives. If you face this issue you should refer this article to your electrician and/or inspector. They may not be aware that the 2011 NEC bonding grid requirement for portable and self-contained hot tubs/spas has been temporarily changed to “EXEMPT PORTABLE SPAS FROM BONDING REQUIREMENTS”. This applies to states and localities adopting the 2011 National Electric Code. NOTE: Those states and localities that are still enforcing the 2008 NEC language, however, may still require the grids. Read the article to learn about waivers. FYI: The EZ Pad is made of non-conductive plastic resin and qualifies as one of the “alternative to the grid” options as a “non-conductive mat”. Although we have never had reports of freeze/thaw issues with EZ Pads in very cold climates, we do recommend a couple of inches of crushed rock for those customers who are concerned about this issue. A heated hot tub often will prevent the ground underneath from freezing. |
